We went to an Indian Wedding last night. Had an interesting time plus a lot of fun and met many new people again.

Melinda posing before we left our apartment.

The wedding couple Mr. Ranganath and Miss Rama. Ranganath works with me at Webb India.

We both had our Indian outfits on. Melinda went with the mauve ensomble and mine was the traditional sport coat and tie all made in India.

This group was all from my office employees except for the bride..

And we did get to eat also. The food was served on the banana leaves in the traditional Indian way with no utensils to eat with except your fingers. Quite a task for us but it didn't stop us from enjoying the fare.

She sure was happy with the food....... Real diamonds on that outfit Melinda???

Everyone had a great time and there were even some sweets to go along with the great food.

Little cakes were our desert.

Melinda met a lot of new freinds in the people I work with.

By the end of the night we added many new freinds and had a lot of fun.

Dental Health with the kids

Well I'm at work in India. My first school is called Stone Hill International School. The children were great. They were from Switzerland, Germany,India Japan ,Australia, and China. One of the kids guessed I was from the U.S. The school is on 37 acres and is really something. When we left the school the guards checked our car to be sure we didn't take any of the kids home with us. The whole experience was great.

November 10, 2008

Hi All,
I thought I should enter some things here since I've been here for a little over a month. At first, I thought I might not like it here at all but since I've traveled around a bit and joined a club, the OWC (overseas women's club), I'm having a lot of fun. I have traveled to Mysore to the ancient palace of the Maharaja and saw an amazing amount of temples. We visited some homes of some people who work with my husband and we traveled to the resort city of Goa.
I've met so many people here from all over the world and in our club the OWC we are setting up a Christmas Charity event for 25 different charities. It will be on the 29th of November at St Marks Cathedaral which is just down the road from our apartment.
I'm posting some photos of some of the things we have done.
MYSORE Palace
My suprise to see the lights of the Mysore Palace. One minute it was just a few and the next it was the brilliance of 95000 lights.
I got blessed by this elephant in the city of Hosur where my husband's freinds live. You give him a rupe or two and he taps you on top of the head. He didn't like my husband so he blew his nose all over his leg but still posed with us for the photo. The wife of one of my husbands freinds blessed me also for visiting their home on the Divalli Holiday.
We really didn't know what to think of the Indian food but tried a lot.

We even got to play golf one day. John had 4 birdies and three pars that day to all our amazement.

My favorite trip was to Goa the beach resort city on the Arabian Sea. It's a short flight away and we spent 4 days and 3 nights at a resort hotel. The beach was beautiful as you can see even the cows love it on the beach and we definately want to go back. We had so much fun on the beach and were so sad to leave to come back to Bangalore.
This shack served us a 2.5 pound lobster!
Yes we went parasailing also.
All beach for as far as you can see. The cow herd was getting their sun and shade also.
We'll try to add some more later. Love from Melinda and John.
